This weekend we're winding the clock back to Alex's P9 finish in Monte-Carlo with the release of the Monaco GP stamp.
Here's everything behind the latest design...
The Monaco Grand Prix stamp features the seagull, a bird that is closely associated with coastal regions, particularly those along the Mediterranean, such as Monaco.
The design uses bold, clean lines to define the bird’s features. The seagull's presence references Monaco's maritime environment, as the tiny principality is known for its prominent harbour and location along the French Riviera.
Seagulls are common in the region, often seen soaring above the blue Mediterranean waters or perching near the glamorous yachts that dot the coast.
The seagull represents freedom and elegance associated with Monaco, where the natural beauty of the sea meets the sophistication of its cosmopolitan setting.
The playful, cartoonish look of the bird contrasts with the opulence of Monaco, offering a lighthearted homage to the coastal charm of the principality.
