Back Albono's incredible double overtake at the Canadian GP for Formula 1's move of 2024

Calling all No.23 fans, it’s time to get behind Albono and vote for your Overtake of the Year!

During 2024, Alex completed a host of blistering moves across 24 race weekends, none more so than the jaw dropping double overtake in Montreal, that picked up June’s Overtake of the Month award.

Racing in P11 on a drying wet track, Alex locked onto the rear wing of Daniel Ricciardo as they rounded Turn 10 to head towards the final chicane of lap 31.

The wet conditions meant DRS was disabled, however our No.23 blasted down the back straight using the slipstream to pull alongside Ricciardo and make his first move.

With Esteban Ocon slowing into the final chicane just ahead, Alex darted to the right and split the gap between the Alpine and RB with millimetres of precision, skilfully claiming the apex.

Within seconds Alex moved from P11 up to P9 in what commentator, Jolyon Palmer, described as “one of the great moves.”
