Alex returns to Formula 1 action this weekend — and he’ll be raring to go after a four-week hiatus.
Round 19 of the season sees our Thai racer head stateside, as he goes in search of points at the United States Grand Prix.
Albono should certainly be confident of a strong performance in Austin, having enjoyed success there in the past.
He finished fifth on his first visit to the Circuit of the Americas back in 2019 while driving for Red Bull Racing, before placing P9 with Williams last season.
And despite enduring technical issues in Singapore last time out, Alex goes into his 100th grand prix in good form — picking up points in two of his previous three outings.
There will be plenty of challenges to contend with in Texas, though.
The Circuit of the Americas features a diverse range of corners and straights, with a dramatic elevation that should provide a stern test on Sunday.
Stretching across 5.513 km (3.426 miles) and with 20 turns, the race will kick off with a steep climb up to a tight Turn 1 hairpin, offering an early opportunity for overtaking.
The high-speed Sector 2 then features a sharp hairpin, before a further chance to pass opponents down the back straight ahead of Sector 3.
Widely considered a modern classic since hosting its first grand prix in 2012, an exciting weekend is likely to be in store when the United States Grand Prix gets under way.
