In the Hungarian heat, Alex Albon came home in P14 after a physical race around the tight and twisty Hungaroring.
Alex had made a monumental start, going from P13 on the grid to P9 by Turn 2, sending it around the outside at the opening hairpin.
With an aggressive strategy having started on the soft tyres, the No23 was the second driver into the pits when he stopped at the end of Lap 6.
Fernando Alonso emerged from the pits just ahead of our racer a few laps later. He set about building a gap to protect his teammate who was extending his opening stint.

Albono made his second and final stop of the race on Lap 29, again fitting fresh hard tyres to carry to the end of the race.
He filtered back as high as P13 before Lance Stroll came back through in the second half of the Grand Prix.
He sat comfortably between the two Haas cars until the end of the race, whilst serving blue flags for the leading back.
Whilst being passed, he managed to stay clear of a collision between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at T1 and bring his FW46 home in P14.
"We need to understand what happened today," Alex shared after the race, adding: "I think we missed it a little with the strategy.
"If we didn’t come out behind Fernando on the first stop, we would’ve been fine but as he was playing the team game and helping to back us up to help Lance, it impacted our race.
"We were planning the two-stop then changed to three-stop, so I started to push the tyres, however, we reverted to two, so you have to extend your stint and by that point, the tyres are gone.
"We had a great start today and despite being disappointed, we’ve gathered valuable learnings in these hot conditions."
